Meet Milo!
This impressive & sweet-natured older gentleman finds himself in shelter due to devastating circumstances. He lived with the same owner all his life but the 2 of them became homeless & his owner made the heartbreaking decision to surrender him to us. Milo was so sad when he came into shelter, mournfully crying in his pen, missing his best friend & so confused as to why he was here. But slowly he is starting to enjoy life a bit more. He is making dog & human friends & his favourite pastime is to carry around his squeaky ball & occasionally drop it so that he can watch it bounce!
Milo just loves his toys &, at 6 years old, he is like a gigantic puppy! He has a very playful nature yet is placid & gentle. He is not a high energy dog &, after his morning stroll, he likes nothing more than to chillax on his bed... often with his treasured squeaky ball!
Milo has been friendly & sociable around other dogs at the shelter & could possibly live with a canine companion, pending a successful meet & greet of course!
Despite his size, he walks pretty well on his lead. He really benefits from daily walks & it is important that he gets regular exercise along with mental enrichment in the form of food puzzles, toys & training. He knows Sit & does a lovely "shake" too!
Being an older boy, he would benefit from joint supplements & a high-quality diet to help keep him in tippy top shape. Secure fencing is also essential.
Milo is recovering from a broken heart & is looking for a loving new home to help it mend. He is a beautiful boy; affectionate, playful & smart. We would love to find him a new best friend :)
